C-PTSD in
Late Diagnosed
AuDHD Women
Live Session

Join us live on April 23rd at 9 am PT
or join On Demand launching April 30th

This training explores why so many late-diagnosed AuDHD women arrive at their diagnosis already carrying the weight of Complex PTSD. We will look at how patriarchal expectations, especially in the Southern US, force AuDHD women to perform social roles that ignore their sensory and cognitive needs.

Finally, we’ll discuss the "why" behind the lack of treatment options, looking at how funding gaps and drug laws have slowed down the research into effective trauma therapies, preventing large populations access to something with proven life changing results. Clinicians will walk away moving past "fixing behaviors" to focus on nervous system regulation and the power of unmasking.

This is a deep dive for any provider looking to support the unique needs of late diagnosed AuDHD women.

What We'll Cover...

Uncover the hidden impact: Learn how late diagnoses of AuDHD often leads to unique, retrospective trauma experiences that directly contributes to the development of C-PTSD.

Navigate systemic barriers:
Gain insight into why some effective PTSD treatments are illegal or restricted across states, and how this impacts neurodivergent populations.

Address cultural nuances:
Understand the specific role of patriarchal norms and cultural expectations in exacerbating masking behaviors and contributing to trauma in AuDHD women.
  • What's included?
  • 2 hour live session
  • lifetime access to recording, course slides and materials
  • 2 NBCC CEs*

Learning Objectives

Participants will be able to:
  • Analyze the relationship between chronic social masking and the development of Complex PTSD (C-PTSD) in late-diagnosed AuDHD women, with specific emphasis on the "fawn" trauma response.
  • Evaluate how regional cultural scripts (e.g., Southern US "politeness" norms) and patriarchal expectations create systemic barriers to neuro-affirming trauma recovery and authentic identity integration.
  • Explain the physiological impact of untreated C-PTSD on the AuDHD phenotype, specifically regarding Vagus nerve dysregulation and the gut-brain axis microbiology.
  • Identify systemic and legislative barriers to trauma treatment, including how federal drug classifications have historically restricted research and clinical access to emerging pharmacological interventions for C-PTSD.
